Despacito is a hit song from Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi together with Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. The song became the number streaming music of that time within six month. The song was a mix of reggaeton and pop, which did not just bring new interest to reggaeton, but increased interest in Latin music. Billboard's Top 100 featured two songs that were Spanish mostly, and four others in 2016. In 2017, at the height of Despacito's popularity, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish appeared on the Billboard Top 100. By 2020 the number will increase to 41 tracks in this category. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix to Despacito (2017) famous artists soon began collaborating on reggaeton tracks, like Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna together with Maluma in Medellin (2019). In the year 2020, some Reggaeton artists were complaining about the trend of the genre towards the mainstream. But, the younger generation, Rauw Alejandro, was keen to keep the trend going. His music often contained elements from other genres and electronic dance.
