In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix to Despacito (2017) famous artists soon began collaborating on reggaeton tracks, like Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna together with Maluma in Medellin (2019). In the year 2020, some Reggaeton artists were complaining about the trend of the genre towards the mainstream. But, the younger generation, Rauw Alejandro, was keen to keep the trend going.
